The city buses are on strike. They've been cutting out routes for days now. So far I've been lucky but one day I'm suddenly not going to be able to get to work ... now Ryan's work is starting to shut down houses for weeks at a time. (He works in a group home for disabled adults at night.) What do people do to get by when they only get strike pay for picketing for weeks? And what happens to the clients who live in these homes?? This fucking sucks and there's nothing we can do about it except try and make it through. Hopefully it results in better pay and benefits soon I guess.
