This first one is a rainstorm we managed to avoid, and then you can see the landscape slowly evolving from prairies to straight up vertical mountainsides. Alberta is pretty cool!
That one with me in it, that's no optical illusion. The mountain seriously is that tall, it just looms up up up into the sky. Also it was SO windy and snowing up there, we jumped out of the car, took a couple pictures and drove away, haha.
